The North Hunterdon High School French Honor Society, Section De Tocqueville, was founded in 1972, becoming the first language honor society at NHHS.\ufffd Induction requirements: a student must have received a grade of \u201cA\u201d for two years in French, and a \u201cB\u201d average in all other subjects and meet other national requirements. The club meets bi-weekly on Thursdays at 2:30 PM or as announced for special activities. Inductions are held in the fall and spring for students who have become eligible for membership. The club serves as a leadership organization for French Week in November. Special projects include serving as a steering committee for French Immersion Day and the French Day of World Language Week.
