WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2021

• Correction on my announcement yesterday, the girls’ interest meeting for wrestling is next Wednesday, September 22, after school for anyone interesting in learning about girls wrestling here at North. The meeting will be held in the freshmen health room. Any questions see Mr. Hrunka or Mr. Flesche.

• Unified Soccer will meet today at 2:30 in room 113 for the first official practice. Email Mrs. Manner with questions.

• The Key Club is collecting items for Ronald McDonald house and Philadelphia Children’s Hospital for the month of September for Childhood Cancer Awareness. We are collecting items such as individually wrapped snacks, clothing detergent pods, and toys for all ages. There is a box located by the theater and one by the main entrance. We will also be collecting at the September 17 Football game.

• Amnesty International is currently collecting necessities for Afghan refugees at Fort Dix. Items will be collected this week, and can be dropped off at the Rt. 31 and Theatre entrances as well as all social studies classrooms. For information on what items to donate, check your email as well as the school for posted fliers.

• The Model United Nations club will be holding its second information meeting today after school in room 237. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Niznik.

• Student Council will meet today instead of Thursday due to the Holiday. They will meet in room 151-A at 2:30. All new members are welcome!

• The first meeting of the Spanish Honor Society will be on Monday, September 20th at 2:30pm in Room 220. All current members should attend. Any juniors or seniors currently enrolled in Spanish that have an interest in becoming a member can join us as well to find out more information.

• Do you like to help others? Do you like food, culture, traditions, languages and music? Come to the first ESL Buddies Club today at 2:30PM in Room 224. Google Classroom code is outside of 224. See Mrs. Naples with any questions. See you there!

• Intramural basketball is starting on Monday, September 20 at 2:30 in the main gym. Contact Mr. Soltis with any questions

• The library will be closed all day for testing. Please do not come to the library from class, study hall, or during lunch today
In sports news, congratulations to the boys’ soccer team for their win over Phillipsburg, 6-3. The girls’ soccer team also defeated Phillipsburg, 7-0. Girls’ tennis beat Watchung Hills, 3-2, and girls’ volleyball defeated Montgomery, 2-0.
