Points will be awarded based on the student\u2019s performance, participation and attitude in class each day. Students will earn points by doing the following each day in class.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 4 points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student is prepared for class<\/li>\n<li>Student participates to the best of their ability<\/li>\n<li>Students skill level is progressing as expected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3 points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student is prepared for class<\/li>\n<li>Student participation is active, but not up to full potential<\/li>\n<li>Skill level is sufficient<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2 points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student is prepared for class<\/li>\n<li>Student participation is minimal<\/li>\n<li>Skill level is not progressing as expected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1 point:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student is prepared for class<\/li>\n<li>Student does not participate in the activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 0 points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student is unprepared for class (plus an additional 10 points are lost at the end of the marking period)<\/li>\n<li>Student has an unexcused absence<\/li>\n<li>Student has a nurses excuse that requires a make-up<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0Points will be deducted for any of the following violations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not being in squads 5 minutes after the second bell rings<\/li>\n<li>Foul language\/obscenities<\/li>\n<li>Poor sportsmanship<\/li>\n<li>Disrespect to the teacher or another student<\/li>\n<li>Damage to equipment<\/li>\n<li>Student does not follow rules<\/li>\n<li>Student does not participate in warm-ups<\/li>\n<li>Leaving class without permission<!-- .entry-content --><!-- #post-## --><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PE course requirements Grading Students will be evaluated on a daily basis on a 0-4 point scale.
