On January 21, 2026, the Gold Gym at the Lions Den of North Hunterdon was electric as the <\/span>North Lions<\/b> faced off against the <\/span>Delaware Valley Terriers<\/b> in a high-stakes Unified Basketball clash. While Lions coaches Garrett Lelko and Chelsey Lindaberry had their team roaring with energy, Coach Daniel Casserly\u2019s Terriers managed to hold their ground to secure a <\/span>55-41 final victory<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The opening quarter was a defensive battle, with the Terriers holding a narrow <\/span>14-10 lead<\/b> by the end of the first quarter. <\/span>Sean (Shaq Diesel) Pettegrove (Lion)<\/b>, who dominated the paint with <\/span>12 points<\/b>, kept the Lions within striking distance early on. However, the Terriers began to pull away in the second quarter, entering the halftime break with a <\/span>28-15 cushion<\/b>. This surge was fueled by a massive performance from <\/span>Robert (Dunkzilla) McGlothlin (Terrier)<\/b>, who finished the night with a game-high <\/span>20 points<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lions refused to back down, mounting a furious comeback attempt in the third quarter by outscoring the Terriers 18-13. <\/span>Jamie (Luck of the Irish) Sullivan (Lion)<\/b> caught fire with <\/span>10 points, 1 rebound, and 1 steal<\/b>, while <\/span>Sylivia Buccini (Lion)<\/b> chipped in <\/span>7 rebounds<\/b> to tighten the game. <\/span>Bettina (Bat Girl) Manasseri-Castro (Lion)<\/b> also provided a spark on both ends of the floor, contributing <\/span>6 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals<\/b> to bring the score to <\/span>41-33<\/b> heading into the final period.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Terriers also saw contributions from <\/span>Michael (The Big Ticket) Wojcik (Terrier)<\/b> with <\/span>6 points<\/b> and <\/span>Tyler (Shake n Bake) Scherer (Terrier)<\/b> with <\/span>4 rebounds<\/b> to seal the win.
