Congratulations to the Unified Lions (3-3) for winning the Unified Sports Basketball game last night against the North Staff Lions (0-1) 100-69 in a culminating superb inclusive community event at North Hunterdon High School. Typically there are four quarters in Basketball but it was decided to play six quarters for the final game of the season.<\/span><\/div>\n

\u200bThe Unified Lions started off like a ball of fire leading after the first quarter 18-8. The Mid First Half Score the Unified Lions started\u00a0pulling away with the score being 32-17. By halftime the steady play of the Unified Lions started wearing down the helpless North staff with the score at halftime being 52-30.<\/span><\/div>\n

At Halftime, The community as well as all of the Unified\u00a0staff and students celebrated\u00a0Dave the Rave Robbins 78th Birthday Party.<\/span>\u00a0\"\ud83c\udf82\" Fun Fact, Dave was inducted into the Special Olympics Hall of Fame this year!!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\u200bBy the end of the third Quarter, the Unified Lions poured it on with the score being 68-43. By the Mid third quarter the North staff started to creep back with the score being 78-58. By the end of the fourth quarter\u00a0<\/span>the \u200bUnified\u00a0<\/span>Lions worked their magic to \u200bpull away from the backpedaling North staff with the Final score being 100-69.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

The \u200bUnified\u00a0<\/span>Lions\u00a0were led by\u00a0\u200b<\/span>#12 Danny (Junk Yard Dog<\/b>)\u200b Navarro who had 22 points and 2 steals;\u00a0<\/span>#43 Andrew (Superman<\/b>) Heaney\u200b had 18 points and 3 rebounds;\u00a0<\/span>#42 Sean (Shaq Diesel<\/b>) Pettegrove\u200b had 12 points;\u00a0<\/span>#\u200b<\/span>1\u200b3\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/span>M\u200baria\u00a0<\/span>(S\u200b<\/span>t\u200borm<\/span><\/b>) \u200b<\/span>C\u200blara-Sousa and #41 Carly (Traffic Cone<\/b>) Moore had 8 points apiece;\u00a0<\/span>#51 Myla (Drop the Mic<\/b>) Schultz\u200b,\u00a0<\/span>#\u200b<\/span>4\u200b0\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/span>A\u200bidan\u00a0<\/span>(\u200bShowtime)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0\u200b<\/span>S\u200btinson and #9\u00a0<\/span>Jamie (Luck of the Irish<\/b>) Sullivan finishing with 6<\/span>\u00a0points apiece\u200b; #6\u00a0<\/span>Clare (Wonderwoman<\/b>) Sturges and\u00a0<\/span>#54 Keith (Freight Train<\/b>) Pannicke\u200b\u00a0<\/span>finishing with 4<\/span>\u00a0points apiece\u200b. #20\u00a0<\/span>Penny (The Intimidator<\/b>) Johnson\u200b finished up the Unified Lions scoring with 2 points.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

The\u00a0\u200bNorth Staff was led by\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/span>C\u200bhrysa\u00a0<\/span>(\u200b<\/span>S\u200bcarlet Knight<\/span><\/b>) \u200b<\/span>S\u200btaiano and Meghan (Shake N Bake<\/b>) Plaxe with 10 points apiece; Our Lions head Basketball Coaches Kyle (Feed me the Rock<\/b>) Rehrig and Justin (The Mail Man<\/b>) Matisak had 9 points apiece; Nicole (North Star<\/b>) Meister had 8 points; CJ (Rockzilla<\/b>) Robinson, Connor (Iceman<\/b>) Robinson and Mike (V-Train<\/b>) Vellucci had 5 points apiece; RJ (Cool Hand Hoops<\/strong>) Calabrese had 4 points; Finishing up the staff scoring was Ashley (Smooth as Silk<\/b>) Post and Meghan (The Answer<\/b>) Luick had 2 points apiece.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
