Congratulations to the Red Devils (3-0) of Hunterdon Central H.S. for winning the Unified Sports Basketball game last night against the Lions (0-2) of North Hunterdon 44-42 in a superb inclusive community event at North Hunterdon High School.<\/span><\/div>\n

The game was a barn-burner from start to finish\u00a0with the halftime\u00a0score being Red Devils 18 and Lions 14. At the end of the 3rd Quarter, the Lions caught up making the score 30-30. The last (2) minutes mark the score was tied 42-42 with #31 Andy (Shake n Bake) Santander scoring the winning basket for the Red Devils.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Lions\u00a0were led by\u00a0\u200b#42 Sean (AirCraft Carrier) Pettegrove with 18 points and 4 rebounds. Other scorers were #54 Keith (Freight Train) Pannicke with 8 points; #12 Danny (Stealth Bomber) Navarro and #43 Andrew (Superman) Heaney with 6 points apiece; #41 Carly (Traffic Cone) Moore and #6 Clare (Wonder Women) Sturges finishing up with 2 points apiece.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Other scorers were #10 Ronald (Give n Go) Hernandez-Amaya with 8 points; #52 Ryan (The Big Deal) Church with 6 points; #1 Mel (Showtime) Kumar, #3 Mason (Buzzer Beater) Long and #20 Aya (The Glide) Botero all with 4 points apiece; #32 Jared (The Hammer) Myers finished with 2 points.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
