{"id":29516,"date":"2023-05-18T09:18:04","date_gmt":"2023-05-18T13:18:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/nhhs\/home\/?p=29516"},"modified":"2023-05-24T11:51:40","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T15:51:40","slug":"blood-drive-may-24-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/nhhs\/home\/blood-drive-may-24-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Blood Drive on May 24, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">North Hunterdon High School is proud to announce that we are hosting a blood drive on May 24, 2023.\u00a0<\/span><b>The blood drive will be held in North Hunterdon High School\u2019s Main Gym on <\/b><b>Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.\u00a0 If you would like to reserve a time slot for your donation, p<\/b><b>lease click <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/donate.nybc.org\/donor\/schedules\/drive_schedule\/305268\" target=\"_blank\"  rel=\"nofollow\" ><b>HERE<\/b><\/a><b> for the sign-up link.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While students who are seventeen and eighteen years old may donate legally without parental permission, we ask that they speak with their parents\/guardians before donating and that they obtain written permission (see below). We also extend a special invitation to our students who will be sixteen years old by May 24.\u00a0 With parental permission, sixteen-year-olds can donate in the state of New Jersey. In addition to filling out the permission slip below, they must also fill out a New Jersey Blood Services Parental Consent Form &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/nhhs\/home\/files\/2023\/05\/Blood-Drive-16-year-old-form-rev-2020.pdf\">16 year old consent form<\/a>.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/nhhs\/home\/files\/2023\/05\/NHHS-Blood-Drive-5-24-23-Permission-Slip.pdf\">Click here for Permission Slip for Students to Donate<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reminders and new guidelines for donating:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All Donors should drink plenty of water and eat regular meals on donation day.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All donors must show some official form of identification, such as a picture ID or driver\u2019s license.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have a blood donor card, please bring it with you when you donate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All donors\u2019 temperatures will be taken prior to entering the blood drive<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">May NOT donate if you have had a positive diagnostic test or experienced symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">May NOT donate if you are under self-quarantine restrictions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We look forward to your help.
