Join us for a Unified Cool School fundraiser from now until Jan. 8th<\/sup> by participating in a \u201cdash\u201d which is a virtual run or walk.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s part of the annual Special Olympics Cool School Challenge. This year it is a little later and looking a little different! This year’s \u201cThanks4Giving\u201d “dash course is up to you!\u00a0 Run or walk on your own favorite course or neighborhood for any distance of your choice to help raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics New Jersey and 50% will be returned to our school Unified program!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

We do ask that you snap a quick photo of yourself or your family walking or running for our Unified program.\u00a0 Email\u00a0your photos to Mrs. Byron mbyron@nhvweb.net.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The $35 dollar fee is waived for students (or pay $35) but just remember the more you fundraise the more money our Unified program will receive.\u00a0 There is also an option for the Splash (no ocean this year but pour water over your head or us water balloons – you can get creative) if that’s something you would rather do to participate. Also, if you raise more than $35 or pay a $35 registration fee you will receive a t-shirt and medal. All signs ups and fundraising must be completed by January 8th.\u00a0<\/u><\/em>


If you choose to you can easily record a 5k run by downloading the\u00a0StravaApp<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and then joining the
2020Virtual Thanks4Giving – Turkey Dash 5K Challenge Club<\/a><\/strong>. Once you\u2019ve joined the club, we will then add you to the event and you\u2019re all set to run. When you\u2019re ready to record your run, simply navigate to the 2020 Virtual Thanks4Giving – Turkey Dash 5K Challenge Club page within your Strava app and then press\u00a0\u201cRecord.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Press\u00a0\u201cStop\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0once you\u2019ve completed your run. The Strava app will automatically sync your time and mileage to the 2020 Virtual Thanks4Giving – Turkey Dash 5K Challenge Club page.
