Dave Mugavero ran 4:19 in the 1600m and 2:00 in the 800m.\u00a0 The last athlete that we had that was able to do that was Matt McDonald. Matt is currently on the nationally-ranked Princeton Track team.\u00a0 Also, Walter Roper ran his 200m leg of the 4 X 200m in a blistering 21.9 seconds!\u00a0 In my 33 years with the North program, we had only one or two that was capable of running a leg in the 22\u2019s.\u00a0 We have never had a guy who can go in the 21\u2019s\u2026 until now.\u00a0These were not the only stellar performances.\u00a0 Our 4 X 800m team all ran 2:08 or better.\u00a0 Sam Layding ran a 1200m leg in 3:16- a terrific time, and Walter Roper added two 50.0-second 400\u2019s to his outstanding day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click HERE for the article in NJ.com.
