The Board of Education has purchased insurance coverage to protect all students against accidental injury.<\/p>\n
Coverage is provided for virtually all school sponsored and supervised activities including:<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attending regular school sessions, including summer school.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Traveling directly and without interruption to and from home and school for regular sessions.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Participating in school sponsored and supervised activities.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Traveling under the sponsorship and supervision of school officials to and from school activities.<\/p>\n
Although this coverage is very broad, there are restrictions, limitations and exclusions in this policy.\u00a0 In many situations, medical bills may not be covered in full. <\/a> Completing Accident Report Forms<\/p>\n Please have the student report any injuries to the school nurse. An accident report must be completed at the time of the accident, no matter how trivial. Accident forms may be obtained from a coach, athletic trainer, school nurse or on the NHHS website\/Health department. Once this form is completed, it is to be submitted to the nurses office. A Philadelphia Insurance form will then be mailed home.
