Academy\u00a0<\/strong>is the only academy in Hunterdon County that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">will assist students with emotional and behavioral problems with successful, innovative therapeutic services<\/span> through Hunterdon Behavioral Health&#8217;s School-Based Programs in conjunction with outstanding academics in a public school setting.\u00a0 Hunterdon Behavioral Health offers counseling, individual, group, and family therapy, parent support groups, home visits, and quality management of the program. Academy provides a program <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for high school students with emotional and behavioral problems operating in a public school, offering academic instruction with in-district clinical counseling and supports. The Academy is based on the student\u2019s Individual Education Program (IEP), which will determine his\/her academic pathway. Students served are aged 13 to 18, referred by boards of education from area school districts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each class will implement a well-structured environment that permits students to gain self-awareness skills and academic rigor. Daily group therapy, weekly individual therapy, study skills classes, and independent breakfast and lunch periods are included in the schedule.\u00a0 Enrollment in the school&#8217;s diversified program includes academic instruction geared toward meeting graduation requirements, as well as a transition to post-secondary life choices, including work, continuing education, and community involvement.
