{"id":5450,"date":"2018-11-13T11:45:58","date_gmt":"2018-11-13T16:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/?p=5450"},"modified":"2018-11-13T11:47:29","modified_gmt":"2018-11-13T16:47:29","slug":"school-winners-in-wendys-heisman-scholarship-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/index.php\/2018\/11\/school-winners-in-wendys-heisman-scholarship-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"School Winners in Wendy&#8217;s Heisman Scholarship Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>School winners have been announced in the 2018 Wendy\u2019s High\nSchool Heisman scholarship competition.\u00a0\nThe North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District is proud to\nrecognize Christopher Hale as the school winner for North Hunterdon High School\nand Lauren Wagner as the school winner for Voorhees High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year Wendy\u2019s honors the nation\u2019s most esteemed high\nschool seniors who share Wendy\u2019s values of giving back to their communities,\ntreating people with respect, continuing education and excelling on the\nathletic field.\u00a0 In addition to their\nacademic achievements, Christopher Hale is recognized for his participation as\na varsity athlete in soccer and basketball.\u00a0\nLauren Wagner is recognized as a varsity athlete in Cross Country,\nWinter Track, and Spring Track &amp; Field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From a total applicant pool of nearly 42,000 high school\nscholar-athletes graduating with the Class of 2019 nationwide, more than 7,500 were\nnamed School Winners in Wendy\u2019s annual scholarship competition. School Winners\nwill continue to compete for the chance to become State Finalists, State\nWinners, National Finalists or National Winners. Scholarships can range from\n$500 to $5,000.
