Public Notice – Public Hearing on the contracts of the Assistant Superintendent of Schools and the School Business Administrator
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:11-11, the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District Board of Education (hereinafter the “Board”) is providing notice of its intent to hold a public hearing and may take action to amend, extend, renegotiate and/or alter contract terms and conditions of the district Assistant Superintendent of Schools and the School Business Administrator at its regular meeting to be held at the District Administration Office, located at 1445 State Route 31, Annandale, NJ 08801, on February 19, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
Prior to this action, the Board will permit the public to make comment on the proposed contracts at the aforementioned meeting. Copies of these contracts are available for review by contacting Susan Press, Board Secretary. The Board, pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, specifically N.J.S.A. 10:4-12 (b), shall not publicly discuss personnel matters and shall not respond to comments made by members of the public. However, the Board will give all comments appropriate consideration. Please be aware that the subject of this hearing retains the right of privacy and shall retain all rights regarding defamation and slander according to the laws of New Jersey. The Board shall not be held liable for comments made by members of the public.
Section 5 of the Act amended N.J.S.A. 18A: 11-11 requires boards of education to provide public notice 30 days prior to the renegotiation, extension, amendment, or alteration of an employment contract with the Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, and the School Business Administrator; and WHEREAS, said public notice was provided to the public on January 16, 2019 via posting on the District’s public website.
