NEW ONLINE PROCESS FOR WORKING PAPERS STARTING JUNE 1, 2023!<\/strong>
\nAs of June 1, 2023, working papers can be accessed at this website: https:\/\/myworkingpapers.nj.gov<\/a>. The school will no longer handles working papers.<\/p>\n

The new process is online and streamlined. All the information minors and employers need to drive the working papers application forward is available on https:\/\/myworkingpapers.nj.gov<\/a>. Here\u2019s how it works:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Minors and their employers each go to MyWorkingPapers.nj.gov to start.<\/li>\n
  2. The employer is emailed a unique 8-digit code they share with every minor
    \nthey hire.<\/li>\n
  3. The minor fills out their working papers application online, entering the
    \nemployer\u2019s unique 8-digit code. The minor adds their caregiver\u2019s name and
    \nemail address.<\/li>\n
  4. The employer is emailed when a minor applies for working papers using
    \nunique 8-digit code assigned to their business. The employer clicks the link
    \nin the email to add job duties and hours and give their OK.<\/li>\n
  5. The caregiver is emailed that a working papers application has been started
    \nby a minor in their care. The caregiver clicks the link in the email to give
    \ntheir OK and provide the minor\u2019s proof of age.<\/li>\n
  6. The minor and their employer each receive an email when the caregiver
    \ntakes action on the working papers application.<\/li>\n
  7. The minor can begin working \u2014 unless they receive an email rejecting their
    \napplication. (Notification of approval\/rejection can be expected within 24
