Be Ready to Test for the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate after 6 Sessions!
Complete the UAS105 PowerPack in October and you will be ready to sit for the FAA Remote Pilot certification. Students 16 years of age and older are eligible. You can audit the course or earn credits toward a college transcript.
“It’s a great opportunity for students to get experience on aircraft and systems they normally wouldn’t have access to because of the cost,” said Dr. Will Austin, College President, College Air Boss, and AUVSI TOP, Level 3 pilot.
Drone flights utilize Warren Community College’s lab equipment. You will acquire experience operating a series of unmanned flights in the National Airspace System (NAS) at theEdward and Eileen Smith Droneport located at the Washington Campus.

Remote Sessions – Tuesdays, October 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 6:30 pm – 9:20 pm; additional online assignments to be posted in eLearning.
On Campus Flights – October 24th and 25th from 9 am – 5 pm (rain date November 2nd).
