jazz ensemble information:
The VHS Jazz
Ensemble is an auditioned ensemble that rehearses from
2:30-3:10 on Mondays and Thursdays. Rehearsals
take place between the end of the school day and the
beginning of athletic practices and extra curricular
activities. Students that are accepted into the
jazz band will receive a grade for the course and 2.5
fine arts credits for the year.
audition information:
Audition materials for the
2011-2012 school year will be available at the Band
Orientation Night on Monday June 6, 2011. Anyone
interested in jazz band should sign up with their
guidance counselor. Invitations to the orientation will
be sent out according to the jazz band class roster.
Auditions will be held during the first few weeks of
September.
