course description:
This course will
continue where Beginning Guitar I ended. This course will continue to
develop basic guitar playing fundamentals as well as continue to enhance
student understanding of basic concepts in music theory. Testing
will be done in both a written and performance format. Students in
this class will be expected to:

perform
intermediate level chord patterns that include barre chords

know names of
pitches for every fret on the guitar

read and play
standard musical notation exercises

understand and
know how to perform various written rhythms
-
read and perform
from TAB
-
perform
intermediate finger picking pieces
-
be able to
perform various scales from memory
Students that take Guitar I at
Voorhees are required to provide their own acoustic guitar. Each
student must also have a spare set of guitar strings.
