Welcome to the Voorhees Intervention and Referral Services website.

All public school students in New Jersey are entitled to Intervention and Referral Services (I & RS) when they experience academic, behavior and/or health difficulties that have not been successfully resolved using more traditional approaches.  As per N.J.A.C 6A:16-7, each district board of education is required to establish and implement a coordinated system in each school building for the planning and delivery of Intervention and Referral Services (I & RS) that are designed to:

1) Assist students who are experiencing learning, behavior or health difficulties; and
2) Provide support, guidance, and professional development to school staff who identify students experiencing learning, beahvior or health difficulties.

Our multidisciplinary team, composed of administrators, teachers, counselors, and support staff, welcomes referrals for students experiencing educational difficulties.  The initial referral form can be downloaded by clicking on FORMS on the right.
