The Elizabeth Ann Seton Center for Women’s Studies at Seton Hall University is sponsoring their 23rd annual essay contest. The contest is open to all students attending NJ high schools. Applicants will write a 500-750 word essay depicting a female who has inspired and influenced them. Essays must be double-spaced with an attached cover sheet containing the following information: Student’s name, the title of the essay, high school name/address/phone number, and school official (Chris Maslonka, Assistant Principal, (908) 713-4164). The deadline for submission is in February, and essays must be mailed to Dr. Mary M. Balkun, Department of English, Seton Hall University, 400 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ 07079.
