Quote of the Week

“You will always find those who think they know what is your duty better than you know it. It is easy in the world to live in the world’s opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after your own; but the great man is he who in the midst of a crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude.”

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

For your reader response journals tonight, you need to have one direct reference to the text.  This means that you must cite a page number from which your example is found.  See the handout on reader response journals for more info (it is now in the short stories link).
