Grading:

  • Students who follow all the guidelines written above are eligible to receive full credit of 35 points

  • Assignments are handed in to the teacher at the beginning of class on the due date.  Students may hand in their current event by the end of the school day (3:10 pm) with a 5 point deduction.  Please note: Students found doing the assignment during class time assigned to other tasks will receive an automatic zero for that week.

  • Students are permitted to hand in their weekly current event early if they know they will not be in class due to a scheduling conflict.

  • Current events may not be e-mailed to the teacher and must be printed out before the student comes into class.  The school library allows students access to computers and a printer so that class is not disrupted.

  • Students absent on the due date must hand the paper in at the beginning of class on the day they return.  This is a standing assignment so you do not get extra time to make it up

  • Assignments handed in on the following day will earn a maximum of half credit

  • No credit will be earned for assignments handed in more than one day late.
