1) Attention students! Today, Friday, January 30th, is Girls’ Basketball Senior Night. Come out at 7:00 PM to honor our graduating seniors and cheer the team to a win! As a bonus, the first 80 students in the door will get a FREE slice of pizza at halftime. Let’s fill the stands and show our senior stars some major support. See you there Friday at 7:00!
2) NJ Youth and Government will be meeting in room 243 after school on Monday, February 2, please see Mrs. Voegele if you have any questions.
3) The next Computer Science Club meeting will be Monday, February 2nd at 2:30 in room 212.
4) There will be a girl’s spring track sign up meeting after school on Monday, February 2nd in room 135A. Please see Coach Rudin or email Coach Mooney with questions.
5) The boy’s tennis pre-season meeting will be held on Wednesday, February, 4 at 2:30 in room 156. Anyone interested in trying out must attend the meeting. If you cannot make it, please contact coach Niznik or Coach West.
6) Testing for the Seal of Biliteracy will take place in the Media Center on Monday, February 2, from 11:32 AM to 3:10 PM, and Tuesday, February 3, from 7:45 AM to 11:04 AM (with lunch scheduled during L2). Please report directly to the Media Center at the start of testing; do not check into your first period class first. You are required to bring a fully charged Chromebook and a pair of wired earbuds for the exam.
7) An RVCC Enrollment Coach will be visiting North on Thursday, February 5 for an Application Session. This session is open to seniors ONLY – and will be held in the Media Center from 9:43-10:38 AM. Please be sure to bring your chromebook. Seniors, submit your transcript release form and sign-up with Ms. Fisher in Counseling before the date. Any questions, see Ms. Fisher in Counseling!
8) Juniors – have you bought your ticket for this year’s prom yet? This is the LAST WEEK to get a ticket at the discounted price – don’t delay, buy today! Ticket prices increase on February 1st. See Mrs. Luick or Ms. Baratta if you have any questions.
9) Girls fencing picked up another win against Princeton high school, and are now 7 and 3. The team was led by the following individuals, who were undefeated: Senior Saanci Sachin (San-vee Sah-cheen) and sophomore Raquel Koscuik (Caw-sick) both had three wins. Sophomore Anne Albrecht-Smith (All-breck-t Smith) led the foil squad with two wins.
