Today’s fact: Born near Troy, Alabama, on February 21, 1940, John Lewis grew up in an era of segregation. Inspired by Martin Luther King Jr., he joined the burgeoning Civil Rights Movement. Lewis was a Freedom Rider, spoke at 1963’s March on Washington and led the demonstration that became known as “Bloody Sunday.” He was elected to Congress in 1986. Trivia: ?????

Relay for Life Pura Vida Bracelets are now for sale for $6! Help to fight cancer by buying a custom Relay for Life Pura Vida Bracelet! The donations will be given to the American Cancer Society, whose funds aid in cancer research and providing services and support for patients. Preorder forms will be available soon during L1 or L2 in the mall, which can then be dropped off completed in the bin in front of Room 121. Buy these now, they are only being sold until February 28th! Wear your bracelet during the event and show your support!
