Assignment

  1. Research your assigned World War II event, answer the following questions, and present the information to your class:

  • Who: Explain who participated in the event (countries, leaders, etc.) and describe their role or influence on the circumstances or outcome of the event
     

  • What: Describe the type of event (e.g., air, sea, or land invasion) and why this approach was selected
     

  • When: Identify start date, end date, other important dates related to the event, and explain the significance of the timing
     

  • Where: Describe where the event took place and how that location affected the circumstances or outcome of the event
     

  • Why: Explain the results of the event and how the event affected the outcome of World War II (i.e., reasons why we continue to study this event)
     

  • How: Supply three important facts from your research that your classmates should know
     

  • Multimedia: Find an image and explain how it is related to or represents the event

  1. Prepare a double-spaced Works Cited page listing in alphabetical order the sources for all the information and multimedia you used. Refer to the examples under Plagiarism policy for guidance on spacing and formatting.

Properly cite your sources by copying and pasting the citation information from your database article on to your Works Cited page. Follow these formats/examples for books, images, and web sites. If any category of information is not available for your citation, skip it and move on to the next category. If a publication date is not available, type n.d. (which stands for no date) where the date would go.

 

Book (find the info on the front and back of the title page)
