The information will include:

  • Student's Name

  • Medications\Allergies (see Mrs. Farrell)

1. A list of chaperones will be provided and subject to approval.

2. Advisor is responsible for submitting finalized Field trip information two weeks prior to any event.

3. Advisor is responsible for submitting student names to the attendance office for

the exception list prior to Field Trip.

4. The advisor will have a completed itinerary of educational events to be approved by Mr. Deutsch.

8  The proposed use of school facilities does not interfere with the instructional program or the conduct of established co-curricular activities. Please see or notify Mr. Hopek for Application for use of School Facilities forms located in the Athletic Office. Forms need to be received Two weeks prior to any school event. Yellow copy for school and White copy for Administration.

Note: The North Hunterdon school facility is used for other programs and advisor's can't assume that it is open. Please submit application for approval. The Clinton Police have to be informed of daily events by Mr. Hopek.

 

9 Decoration and Poster Codes: Refer to policy below

Before being displayed, all posters must be approved by the Director of Student Activities. Only posters showing good taste will be approved. Posters may be displayed in the cafeterias, the Mall area and any tiled surface in the corridors. Please use masking tape when hanging posters and remove all posters and tape immediately after the announced event takes place. Do not tape anything to lockers. Approved posters will have Mr. Deutsch's stamp or initials on the bottom right of poster. All other displayed posters will be removed.

SOCIAL EVENTS AND CLASS TRIPS

Seniors graduating class trips shall be approved by the Board of Education providing they contribute meaningful experiences to the students. The senior class trip should provide a new type of educational experience. Fund raising for such trips may be begun in the freshman year with the understanding that final approval will be given by the Board for the trip at the beginning of the senior year.

In the event that the senior trip is not approved for a particular class, funds may be used for other senior activities, or left as part of the senior class gift.

TRANSPORTATION OF DISABLED PUPILS

The Board of Education shall provide transportation services for pupils with disabilities as required by law and dictated by the pupil's educational needs and physical welfare. The Board will provide the transportation specified as a related service in the program of special education approved for a disabled pupil. Such transportation will conform to the pupil's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and the transportation requirements described by the Child Study Team (CST) or prescribed by the school physician. Transportation to a placement outside this district will conform to the school calendar of the receiving school.

The transportation of a disabled pupil may include such special equipment, transportation aides, and special arrangements for other assistance to and from and in and around the school. When necessary for the pupil's welfare, the case manager will provide the transportation coordinator and driver with specific information about the pupil. For pupils with disabilities below the age of five, safety belts or restraint systems will be used.

The transportation of disabled pupils to special education programs approved by the Board and located outside the state will conform to guidelines established by the New Jersey State Department of Education. Such transportation services will be dictated by the pupil's IEP and approved by the CST. The individual plan for a disabled pupil's out-of-state transportation will be submitted to the Office of the County Superintendent prior to its implementation. In general, transportation of out-of-state disabled pupils will be by the most economical and expeditious mode consistent with the pupil's special needs and will be limited to travel at the beginning and the ending of the school year.

State aid will be sought for the services provided in accordance with law and this policy. The Board directs that appropriate records be maintained and all relevant documentation be preserved in order that the district be properly reimbursed for the costs of transportation.

The Board is also committed to providing a work environment free of unlawful harassment. The Board prohibits sexual harassment and harassment based on any of the protected characteristics identified above, as all such harassment is unlawful.

Prohibited unlawful harassment may include, but is not limited to, the following behavior:

Z Verbal conduct such as derogatory epithets, jokes, comments or nicknames, and slurs;

Z Visual conduct such as derogatory posters, graffiti, slogans, photography, cartoons, drawings or gestures;
