Newsletter - Winter - 2011

The Music Department at North Hunterdon involves over 400 students in a variety of performance ensembles, including four bands, five choirs, and orchestra, as well as many non-performance courses.  We believe that every student who desires a musical experience is entitled to participate depending on their specific interests and talents. The ensembles perform at school concerts and contribute to the life of the school and community by supporting various community functions. Many students elect to audition for and participate in honors music ensembles and programs outside of school, including NJMEA Region II, All-State and MENC All-Eastern Ensembles, as well as local symphonic, band, choral, and theater organizations.  The department also offers Music Theory, AP Music Theory, Electronic Music (I, II, III), Composition & Arranging, Guitar (I, II), Instrumental and Vocal Lessons and Music History: The Rock Years.
