Country Watch: Choose the CountryWatch@School section and select your country from the list. Learn about the country's history by selecting History from the Political Overview section of links on the left. For help citing CountryWatch, review Q12 in the site's FAQs.

 

CultureGrams: Experience the cultures of 190 countries and territories in reports that include maps, statistics, a glossary, and in-depth information. For citation instructions, select the link for "Citation Information" at the bottom of each page.

 

Facts on File-World Atlas: Get facts at a glance plus maps, flags, images, and information on geography, climate, history, culture, government, and society. Also, try Facts on File's History Database Search to learn more about the history of your country. For citation information, scroll to the bottom of each article.

 

Gale Virtual Reference Library: A huge variety of e-books (digitized reference books) about various aspects of your country's history and culture. Type your country's name in the Find box. For citation information, click "How to Cite" at the top of the article.

 

Grolier Online Encyclopedias: Enter a city or country into the Find It Fast  search box for articles from Encyclopedia Americana (detailed information), Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia (brief information), or Lands and Peoples (detailed information about the country, with brief paragraphs about major cities).

 

Grolier Online-Lands & Peoples: Information about the land, people, heritage, education, cities, economy, history, and government of various countries, plus Mexican state articles in Spanish.  See citation instructions at the end of each article.

 

SIRS Researcher-World Almanac-Maps: Select "Nations of the World" for information from The World Almanac and Book of Facts 2007. Click the "Source" icon for citation information or "How to cite" at the top of the page for specific MLA instructions.
