Job Title
Assistant Principal for
Instruction.
Key responsibilities
- Will
identify and resolve with students, parents, teachers, and administrators,
any problems arising within the instructional area, while insuring that
the needs of students and the requirements of the curriculum are met.
- In
conjunction with the Principal and Department Supervisors assist
individual teachers and groups of teachers in organizing and implementing
teacher-initiated change.
- Assist
the Principal in the development of staffing needs, and the implementation
of curriculum revision.
- The
Assistant Principal shall act as a resource person to the academic staff
in the preparation of their instructional budget request, supervise
spending within the area of curricula to insure that expenditures do not
exceed budget amounts, and maintain a running inventory of
supplies/materials for which distribution must be supervised.
- The
Assistant Principal in conjunction with the Director of Guidance will
development and implement all
phases of the master schedule.
- The
Assistant Principal shall work with the staff and administration to assess
needs, to develop, and to implement staff development initiatives.
