The dog ate my homework

I joined North Hunterdon High School in the 2001 school year. Previously, I was teaching in the Warren County Special Services School District. Prior to being a teacher, I worked in the architectural field and was a minor league baseball player for both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs.

It was only recently that I decided to make a major career change into the field of education. After working in the corporate world for more than eight years, I was convinced that teaching would be a more fulfilling way of life, both personally and professionally. I come from a family of educators. Our dinner table was surrounded by conversations about learning styles, engaging students and the newest trends in education. I know that these conversations inspired me to become a teacher today.

I completed my Masters Degree in Developmental Disabilities in Special Education that I believe will enhance my capabilities to instruct diverse learners. I am very excited about the opportunities that await me in this field.  My prior experience in substitute teaching and coaching children gives me a head start. My career in the business world will enable me to offer children different perspectives on what opportunities may await them.

The children are our future and I know that I can be a positive influence in their lives. I look forward to a fulfilling career at North Hunterdon High School.

Some of my interests include: Skiing, fishing, baseball, basketball, golf, gardening, construction and most importantly being with my family.
