Dear Parents/Guardians:
I wanted to write and express my sincere thanks to all of our students and their families for your patience as the spread of the coronavirus forced us to transition rather quickly into virtual learning. So far, I have received positive feedback from parents on the virtual learning that is taking place and I thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am very grateful to our teachers, support staff, administrators, and particularly the technology department, for all of their hard work to make virtual learning not only a reality, but also a success.
We are all here to support you and your student if assistance is needed during this closure, whether it be instructional, technological or mental health support. We recognize that this is not a normal time and things are changing daily. We understand that students are losing out on other aspects of high school life during the course of this closure. Please be assured that once we are able to reopen we will do our best to reschedule events and activities as we can.
While we very much look forward to the reopening of school, we are taking this closure one day at a time as new information is arising daily. We are monitoring all the most current information being released about the coronavirus and the actions state and local governments are taking to combat the spread. Please continue to follow the CDC guidelines and practice social distancing.
Again, thank you for working with us as we entered into this new phase of virtual learning. Our goal is to maintain an educational program that will allow students to progress academically while our high school buildings are closed. Your continued support will help us in those efforts.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. Please take care of your families and loved ones, and yourselves. I wish you all well.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Bender
