Lesson Plans Reading/Writing Workshop
This course is designed to help students who might have difficulties taking the HSPA exam in their junior year. The class is run like a workshop, which means students get an opportunity to work independently after the daily lesson is introduced and/or modeled. Students will be assessed at the end of each week and given points daily for their attempts at each lesson. The typical weekly schedule will run as follows:
Monday - Grammar Basics (Online Exercise); Tuesday - Vocabulary; Wednesday - Reading Comp. Basics, vocab review; Thursday - Essay Tips; Friday - weekly assessment
Each day's activities and exercises are worth 10 points for completion, and the Assessment on Friday is worth 60 points.
