Varsity Jacket Information:
(updated 4/16/12)
The next varsity jacket fitting/ordering day will be Wednesday, April 25th, during lunch mods, outside the cafeteria.
Students interested in a jacket should bring their Varsity letters and a deposit check for $150.00 made out to "United Sport Apparel"
...And here is some more helpful information about ordering a varsity jacket...
We Changed our supplier to United Sport Apparel in December of 2008. This is a company that specializes in varsity jackets. This company bought out the company Voorhees used for the first 25 years of the its existence.
Varsity jacket orders will now be taken outside the cafeteria during lunch mods. This will take place three days out of the year: once in October, once in the early Winter, and once in the early spring. (There is a possibility of having an additional fitting in June.)
If you miss the ordering day, Mr. Baumann can always take your order at his convenience. However, every attempt should be made to be fitted by the sales rep on the day of the fitting.
If you do not have your varsity letter with you to order, they will just ask you to mail it to them at your earliest convenience so they can attach it. It is understood that only varsity athletes are entitled to the jacket, so if you or your child is currently on varsity for the first time and won’t receive the letter till the end of the year, it’s still okay to order the jacket.
If you were unable to have the varsity letter or any other patches attached by United Sport Apparel and wish to have them professional attached, Plaza Dry Cleaners in Clinton has done a nice job for our athletes in the past.
The contact information for the company Varsity Jacket Company is:
United Sport Apparel
20 Gloria Lane
Fairfield, NJ 07004-3306
(973) 575-7840
The salesman will take measurements and deposits during lunch periods tomorrow outside the cafeteria on the designated fitting days.
The cost is $260.00 which includes all the standard options: attaching the varsity letter, a total of six characters on the sleeve, sports patch with graduation year, and the name on the jacket,
Additional sports patches on the sleeve or any other bells and whistles will
cost extra.
That includes adding a junior varsity letter or the graduation numbers issued by the school.
The Custom Leather Collar, which has become more popular as of late, is an option, but it will cost additional money.
The company
requires a deposit of $150.00. They take checks, cash, or
credit cards (no AMEX)
Checks
should be made payable to “United Sport Apparel.”
You don’t have to have the deposit on hand to order a jacket, but the order will be on hold until the company receives a deposit. The deposit drives production; those students who come prepared with their deposit and varsity letter will have their jackets go directly into production.
The
salesman will take care of everything…but Mr. Baumann will be around to answer
questions. Mr. Baumann can
always contact the company with any questions you might have later on down
the road.
You will receive written confirmation from the company five days after you place the order. Included in that conformation will be the date when the final payment is due.
The jacket will be shipped from the company directly to your house, but not until the final payment is received.
The
jacket can be sent back to the company down the road if there are additions
that need to be made. However, they will likely refuse to do this
during their "busy season," which is the fall and winter.
And
again, here is
