INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING

1. Complete one Local Scholarship Application for EACH SCHOLARSHIP!
2. Look to see the scholarships for which you would like to apply.  Be sure to read the requirements for each scholarship carefully
3. For sections A & B be sure to complete your applications and return them to Ms. LaBarbera in the Guidance Office by no later than 3:00 p.m. on March 5^th.
4. Sections C & D, require a separate application.   These can be downloaded below each scholarship.  Make sure you check their due dates!
5. Include any extra essays that are necessary for the scholarship.
6. Please use a black or blue pen to complete the application.
7. Staple all of your materials together.  For applications that are returned to guidance, do not put applications in an envelope!
8. Please disregard the YEAR when it comes to the date.  Some of these applications are reused multiple years.  Even though some applications have the previous year listed, you can still use them.

WISS Edward W. O’Connell Memorial Scholarship

• New Jersey graduating senior who will declare a major in Accounting and has already been accepted into an accredited New Jersey college or university.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Two letters of recommendation, either two from high school faculty or one from high school faculty and one from an adult who has supervised his/her extracurricular activities (i.e., minister, coach, head camp counselor, volunteer administrator, etc.)

Riegel Federal Credit Union Scholarship

• Applicant must be a member of Riegel Federal Credit Union in good standing.
• A typewritten two-page essay.  Essay should include a brief overview of yourself and your long-term goals, why you deserve the scholarship, and how you anticipate using your degree.
• Copy of transcript.

• Financial need, involvement in extracurricular activities, intended college major of agriculture or related field.
• 4-H or FFA member
• Essay regarding how 4-H or FFA affected their life or career choice.

• Applicant must be a graduating senior and a relative of a Veteran of the Armed Forces (living or deceased) who was honorably discharged.
• Must be going on to higher education at a university, college, junior college or trade school.
• Proof of acceptance or indication of acceptance at a particular institution must accompany the application along with a copy of the veterans DD214 (separation papers) or other proof of service.

Please complete the following for EACH Jennie Haver Scholarship that you apply to:

• Jennie M. Haver Memorial Scholarship Fund Application, including Family Income & Assets Detail Sheet.

• Official student transcript.

• Self-reported Student Activity Sheet.

• Guidance Counselor recommendation.

• A personal statement concerning the student's goals and future plans.

• For publicity purposes please include five (5) passport size photos, labeled with the student’s name, the high school attended and the name of the scholarship.

• Mildred Preen Mortimer Civic Achievement Scholarship requires an additional application. Please see above to download it.

• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75.
• 50-150 word essay on why you deserve this scholarship.
