2013 record: 2-14-2 overall, 1-10-1 Raritan Division.

Players to watch: Sr. F Jamie Ruggerio, Sr. B Alyssa Bennett, Sr. M Grace Plassche, Sr. M Caroline Coleman, Jr. G Liz Rotolo

Outlook: Lions, who drop down to the Raritan Division, are looking for marked improvement in coach Sue Toke’s second year. The team’s inability to finish around the cage has been a major drawback the past few seasons. This may be the year North begins to climb its way back to respectability.

From coach Sue Toke: “The work ethic is really strong. I really think the team is coming together a little more. Last year was a big adjustment for all of us. It was a learning year. This year the kids all know what to expect. They’re buying into it a lot better.”

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to WELCOME the Class of 2018 and their families!!!  The NHHS Booster Club is continually looking for members who are able to volunteer their time and efforts to support our student-athletes.  We invite all athletic families to join the main booster club.  Your family membership fee of $25 (for the entire year) allows you to be involved in fundraising activities such as working the concession stand, selling raffle tickets, helping with our coaches breakfast, custodian luncheon and our senior athletic awards banquet.  Our fundraising throughout the year allows us to provide a banquet, a gift for all senior athletes and scholarships for one senior from each sports team. (The Varsity athletes vote for the senior teammate that set an example of leadership and sportsmanship throughout their season.)

We have 26 teams who have organized “Umbrella Clubs”.  They may charge additional dues to cover expenses like sandwiches for away games and banquet fees for their team.  We meet with the reps from each team monthly to talk about fundraising and volunteering opportunities.  They communicate all information with you through email.  Each team is required to have 75% of their JV/Varsity families join the Main Booster Club to be covered by our insurance.

Our North spiritwear (t-shirts, sweatshirts, and sweatpants) can be purchased at Back to School nights, home Varsity Football games (at the shed next to our outdoor shack), and during the winter season at our indoor shack.  We will have also have an online clothing store (shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and a sling bag) open from August 25-September 5.  We will reopen it again October-November for holiday sales.   An email will be sent out as a reminder.

You can find our membership form under ‘Join’ on our BC webpage or click HERE to go to the membership website. We also accept Paypal payments.  Our Paypal button can also be found on our webpage or click HERE to go to the Paypal website.  Please join us and support all the student-athletes at NHHS.

THANK YOU and GO NORTH!!!!!

Tera Lunger, President
