Go beyond Google! There are many tools for searching the Web, including:

Search engines
Metasearch engines: Send searches to several search engines at once and display one combined set of results
Subject directories: Provide list of web pages grouped by topic; usually created by people who select and evaluate the accuracy quality and reliability of the listings
