Evaluating web sites

The assignment

Each team will be assigned a research topic and web site to evaluate.

At your own computer:

1. Write your name and mods on the Web Site Evaluation sheet.
    

2. Go to your team's assigned web site and evaluate it; refer to the Evaluation Strategies on the back of the worksheet for tips.
    

3. Take notes on your findings: What looks right? What looks wrong?

As a group:

4. Share your individual findings and reach a consensus about whether you would recommend this site.
    

5. Identify the evaluation criteria that were most important in making your decision.
    

6. Select a spokesperson for your group and be prepared to share your findings with the class.
