Provides an overview of lifestyles from antiquity through the present day.

Digital library of information on American and world popular culture, past and present.

Grolier Online
Two multimedia encyclopedias: Grolier (for quick reference) and Encyclopedia Americana for (in-depth research and worldwide current events). To access the Grolier databases from home, request a username and password while you are in school.

InfoTrac-Elite 500
Content from more than 500 publications, including daily full text from The New York Times and The Star Ledger.

JerseyClicks
New Jersey's statewide portal that lets you search full-text databases simultaneously through one user-friendly interface. The databases cover subjects such as health, history, business, education, science, current events, literature, and popular fiction. The suite also includes Informe, a Spanish-language full-text database. To use JerseyClicks from home, enter the your library card number from your public library card when prompted after you put in your search.

JSTOR
An archive of more than 700 scholarly journals in the arts, sciences, and humanities. The JSTOR log-on process changed in April 2008 so that now users create their own ID and password by going to an authenticated registration page. Stop by the Media Center for registration and log-on instructions.

Lands & Peoples
Up-to-date information for country and state reports, plus Mexican state articles in Spanish. To access the from home, request a username and password while you are in school.

Literature Resource Center
Criticism, biographies, bibliographies, work overviews, web sites, articles, full-text works, and reading lists for students of literature.

Maps101
Thousands of maps and atlases to help you learn about the world's people, economies, governments, and geography.
