2005-2006 Application (You may use this for 2007-08)

NOTE: If Hunterdon Tomorrow runs in 07-08, it will not be until January. Please try to submit applications by November 1. At this time, ignore other dates listed in this application. Submit your application directly to the Alliance.

The Business and Education Alliance sponsors Hunterdon Tomorrow. The program seeks, honors, challenges and develops Hunterdon high school juniors* who have demonstrated leadership potential on their school campuses and in their communities.

Participants are selected based on interest or involvement in school or community activities, leadership potential, and clarity and creativity in response to application questions.

There is no limit to the number of nominations from each school. Individual class size will range from 25 – 35 students per year.

Instructions:

Type responses and complete each section in full in the space available. It is advisable to use a computer disc where available. Incomplete or handwritten applications will not be accepted.

Applications must be signed by the candidate, a parent or legal guardian, and the high school principal or counselor.

Applications and two references, must be received at the office of the Business & Education Alliance, Inc., P.O. Box 231, Flemington, NJ 08822 [by 5:00 p.m. July 15, 2007. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.]

Interviews with prospective candidates may be scheduled. Candidates will be notified by telephone if necessary.

Criteria for selection are listed in the Hunterdon Tomorrow brochure. All applicants will be notified by mail by June 10^th.

* Juniors for school year 2005-06 who live in Hunterdon County or attend school in Hunterdon County.

Commitment

Attendance at the Hunterdon Tomorrow retreat in August is mandatory. Those unable to attend or fulfill the requirements will be asked to withdraw from the program. The time commitment for the year is eleven all-day sessions (August – June), beginning at approximately 7:30 a.m. and ending at approximately 2:00 p.m. NO early dismissals are permitted. Absence may be cause for dismissal from the program. Excused absences must be called in to the Business & Education Partnership office at least two days before the scheduled session. Students will be required to maintain journals on their Hunterdon Tomorrow experience and submit entries within two weeks of the prior session attended. School attendance credit will be granted for each school-day session attended. Appropriate attire is required. There will be incidental session costs.
