New Payment Service in the Cafeteria

Beginning on March 4, 2009, the cafeterias at both North Hunterdon and Voorhees High Schools will have a new way for students to pay for their lunches and snacks.  Searching for cash at the bottom of a backpack will soon be a thing of the past.  A new automated point of sale system will allow students to enter a PIN number to access their automated account in order to pay.  It will be that easy!

Here is how the new system will work.  Cafeterias will have new touch screen terminals installed as well as keypads.  Students will enter their student ID number into the keypad, which will bring up their information on the touch screen monitor for the cafeteria worker to see. Information will include the balance on the student's account, if they are enrolled in the free or reduced lunch program, and the student's picture.  Cafeteria staff will ring up the student's purchase, which will automatically deduct from the student's account as long as money is available in the account. Cash will still be accepted.

Parents can make payments to the student's meal account in a few ways.  1) Parents can send checks payable to the school's cafeteria directly to Sandy Banks, Food Services Director, at either high school.  As checks are received, they will be entered into the student's account.  2) Students can also give cash or checks to the cafeteria staff when they are purchasing lunch or snacks. 3) Parents can deposit money into a student's account with a credit card through the Nutrikids secure website.  (Please note: money left in a student's account at the end of the year will roll over to the next year.  Seniors graduating must submit a written request to the cafeteria in order to receive left over funds at the end of the year.)

Prepayment Option Online:  NutriKids Information

The Nutrikids website provides parents a convenient, easy and secure way to deposit money into your child's school meal account at any time.  This online prepayment service also provides parents the ability to view your child's account balance through the Nutrikids website, www.MyNutrikids.com.  By having money in each child's account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so your child has more time to eat and be with friends.

Additionally, we provide current price information for menu items. We strive to keep this information current. Please note that prices are subject to change.
